About the Charities

Please join me in supporting these tax-deductible charities. I know that 100% of your money will go directly to the less fortunate and make a difference in people’s lives.

The Living Room – A hospice and refuge that is providing dignity and quality of life in Kenya, to people who are affected by HIV /AIDS and other life threatening illnesses. I first visited Julie McGowan and her facility in 2013 and it was a life changing experience. The wonders of her work are truly the work of the Lord. She is now expanding her reach and is raising money to build a second hospice in Eldoret, Kenya. I’ll be visiting her on this trip and seeing the new site as well as her loving staff. Please be generous. I’ve committed to matching all donations totalling $10,000.

Rancho Feliz – A charitable foundation that doesn’t believe in welfare. They believe in the democratic redistribution of opportunity-and their maverick approach is unlike any other. Motivated by the philosophy that the best way to improve their own circumstances is to serve others. They’ve changed thousands of lives on both sides of the Mexican / USA border. I’m proud to be friends with the visionary and founder of Rancho Feliz, Gil Gillenwater. Gil will be matching all donations totalling $5,000, Jim Armstrong will match up to $10,000 and I’ll match donations totalling $10,000. That’s $25,000 in total, to match donations. We’re off to a great start.

  1. Wow, Mike. I remember you being rear ended on a trip home from Hackensack University Medical Center. I knew then what a wonderful man you are. You continue to amaze me. I will be following this incredible journey.
    Love,
    Gail
